I’m not a huge online social networking type of guy but the one social networking site where I’ve created a profile and actually intend to keep using it is LinkedIn.com. Linked In is kind of like MySpace but for grown ups. It’s kind of like Facebook but geared towards work and professionals instead of college. One of the great parts about it is that you can’t really get spammed with lots of friend requests or “connections” as LinkedIn calls them because the idea of the site is you actually have to know the person to make that connection. Either you have to have worked at the same place, gone to school together or at least know their email address. If you haven’t checked it out, give it a try.
