Over the last couple of weeks I have bounced around between #1 and #2 for the Google search [Utah SEO], much to the astonishment of Alex McArthur who promised me it was just a fluke and wouldn’t last for more than 48 hours. I can’t say I completely disagree with him since I haven’t made much of an attempt to rank for this keyword. It makes me realize that I have much to learn about the ways of Google. There are many Utah SEO firms that optimize for this keyword and by looking at the stats, should rank higher. We’ll see how long it lasts…easy come, easy go.
I’ve included a screenshot for proof in case I’m gone tomorrow (and to further confuse Alex):

Congratulations!
I was the #1 spot for several weeks earlier this year, but didn’t really work to maintain it. I don’t think it would be too hard for you to maintain your position if you just put a little effort into it.
8/10/2007 …a date to remember. The fall of BryanPhelps.com.
Pretty rad site, I just stumbled across it today. I would wonder - do people always go with the top natural search result?
The top search results has a very very high percentage of clicks. That number drops considerably as you get towards the bottom of the first page and many people rarely go to the second page.
I just dropped you a “deep link” to this page from my blog roll to help you get back up there dude.
Looks like you’re back up there, darn you Bryan. What happened to the days when MWI had no SEO competition in Utah? Now I actually have to work.
Keep up the great work!
